Best Universal Testing Systems
Electromechanical and hydraulic systems are used in universal testing machines to perform static testing, as well as tensile, compression, bend, peel, tear, and other mechanical tests. Our Testing Machine systems are available in standard force capacities ranging from 1,000 to 100,000 pounds. As a unified component, all MTI systems include our powerful Intel Core i5 Pentium based Data Acquisition/Analysis/Control System, resulting in a completely mechanized materials testing system.
Why is a
Universal Testing Machine needed?
To ensure exact and precise velocity control and
arranging capability, all load frames are formulated to exact resistance and
use precision ball screw drives, ground linear guide rods and bearings, and
high-strength steel construction. Crosshead velocity is computer controlled and
nearly infinitely variable across the system's speed range.
As shown here, all mid-force range floor model systems
are designed to accommodate both tension and compression loading in either test
bay — that is, above or below the moving crosshead. To ensure maximum
capability and performance, the load cell and testing fixtures can be attached
to any of the four crosshead surfaces. Low force load frames are typically
built as table-top systems. When high force capacity is not a constraint, these
Universal Testing systems provide the same work capabilities as our larger
floor model units.
Each system includes the entire MTI Testing Programs
library. There are various types of testing fixtures available. Specific
applications and research programs may necessitate the use of additional
instruments such as Extensometers and Signal Conditioners. MTI introduced the
first biaxial strain sensor in 1979 and continues to provide highly developed
designs to users all over the world. Our standard products also include
user-friendly multi-channel signal conditioners.
Universal Testing Systems
machines are an important part of quality assurance, and we want to provide you
with the best quality test machine system to ensure your products can withstand
the stress they will be subjected to. We provide a comprehensive range of testing
systems such as materials testing machines, strength testing machines,
compression testing machines, and metals testing equipment.
Why choose MTI?
MTI provides a comprehensive line of universal testing machines for tension, compression, bend, peel, and other applications. Our engineering team has painstakingly designed frames with superior axial alignment and stiffness that are compact, low-maintenance, and simple to use, exceeding all ISO accuracy standards.
MTI universal testing systems are available with a
variety of controllers and software options to accommodate a wide range of
applications. We also have grips, test fixtures, extensometers, and heating and
cooling chambers available.
Our largest capacity
systems have force capacities of 225 kN, 350 kN, and 450 kN
(50,000/75,000/100,000 pounds). These systems offer the rigidity and efficiency
required for these more demanding applications. Our automated testing machines
are proudly manufactured in the United States.
